Răzvan-Victor Rughiniș serves as a Professor and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers within the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. He received his PhD in Computer and Information Technology in 2005 and obtained his Habilitation in Computer Science in 2015. His research portfolio includes the coordination of national grants such as IPRADAR, OPTIMIZE, and YGGDRASIL, which focus on cyberthreat detection, vulnerability assessment, and productivity optimization. He has authored the volume "Digital Society: Masters, citizens or slaves?" and published articles in journals including Computers, Future Internet, and Frontiers in Big Data, as well as in prestigious conference proceedings. He regularly participates as an invited speaker at industry and policy events, including DefCamp, the Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference, and the Romanian Digital Day at the European Parliament. He is a co-founder of Innovation Labs, an accelerator program that has supported technical startups since 2013. He has been an Associated Member of The Academy of Romanian Scientists since 2020.
