Decebal Popescu is a Prof. Habil. at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Computer Science Department. His main research interests are modern processor design, fuzzy logic intelligent circuits, eHealth, neural networks, embedded systems, reconfigurable computers, and digitalization. He was involved in many vital eGovernmental projects with Fraunhofer Institute, Berlin, as the research group leader. He was an adviser to the Minister of Communications and Information Society and the Minister of Education afterward. He was also a technical expert for the Romanian government on the MIT initiative One Laptop per Child.
