Victor Asavei received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest in 2011. He is an Assistant professor (Lecturer) at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, Computer Science and Engineering Department. His main current teaching and research focuses are in the areas of Real Time 3D Computer Graphics, GPGPU (General Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units) and e-Health. He has co-authored more than 60 papers and 5 books in the fields of Computer Graphics, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Software Engineering and e-Health and has participated in numerous national and international research projects.
