Dumitru‑Cristian Trancă is an engineer and university lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, with teaching and research activities in the fields of electronics, embedded systems, communications, and the Internet of Things (IoT). His main research interests include industrial IoT architectures, low-power systems, wireless sensor networks (WSN), industrial communication protocols, and their integration into monitoring and control applications. He has been involved in several national and international research projects and is the author or co-author of scientific papers published in indexed journals and international conference proceedings. His research focuses on the development of scalable and energy-efficient IoT solutions for industrial, energy, environmental, and agricultural applications. Alongside his research activity, he is actively engaged in higher education, contributing to the training of students in modern electronic systems, digital communications, and IoT technologies, as well as supervising undergraduate and master’s degree projects.
