Digital signal processing (DSP) is a very interesting and useful knowledge. Applications that use DSP include: audio/video processing, communications, radar systems, seismic detection, etc.
In this class we shall learn about what is a signal, how this signal can be represented, how to convert a signal from analog to digital and moreover about how we can process such signal for different purposes: noise reduction, improving signal to noise ratio, better visualisation, etc.
I hope that together we shall discover many interesting signal processing techniques and that we may spend a fruitful semester together.
